When someone’s right to a fair trial are breached, there can be devastating consequences for them and their family. Our case studies show the human impact of decisions that lead to people being held in pre-trial detention, coerced into accepting a plea bargain or extradited to another country. Many of these people are also victims of the discrimination and bias that in entrenched in criminal legal systems.
